Sustainability Policy

Introduction:

At Clean Tech we are committed to promoting sustainability in all aspects of our operations. Our goal is to minimize our environmental impact, ensure the health and safety of our employees and clients, and contribute positively to the communities we serve.

Environmental Responsibility:

  1. Eco-friendly Products: We prioritize the use of environmentally friendly cleaning products that are biodegradable and non-toxic. We continuously seek out suppliers who share our commitment to sustainability.
  2. Waste Reduction: We implement waste reduction strategies, including recycling and proper disposal of cleaning materials. We aim to minimize single-use plastics and encourage the use of reusable and recyclable materials.  We are licenced and strictly follow the laid down regulations
  3. Energy Efficiency: We strive to reduce our energy consumption by using energy-efficient equipment and optimizing our cleaning schedules to minimize energy use. We already have our first all electric vehicle and another is on order. We are committed to an all electric fleet as each of our present vehicles reaches the end of its lease.

Health and Safety:

  1. COSHH Compliance: We adhere to the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations to ensure the safe use, storage, and disposal of hazardous substances. We conduct regular risk assessments and provide comprehensive training to our staff on COSHH guidelines.
  2. Employee Training: Our employees receive ongoing training on safe cleaning practices, the proper use of equipment, and the handling of hazardous substances. We are committed to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  3. Protective Equipment: We provide our staff with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to safeguard their health and well-being while performing their duties.

Community Engagement:

  1. Local Sourcing: We support local businesses (e.g. Gutter Vacuum Systems in Dereham, Norfolk Web Designers in Attleborough, Pro-S in Downham Market, Double G Clothing in Kings Lynn etc etc.) by sourcing our cleaning products and equipment from local suppliers whenever possible. This helps reduce our carbon footprint and supports the local economy.
  2. Community Initiatives: We actively participate in community initiatives and environmental programs (e.g. St Botolphs Church and Grimston Cricket Club). We encourage our employees to volunteer and engage in activities that promote sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Continuous Improvement:

  1. Monitoring and Reporting: We regularly monitor our sustainability performance and set measurable goals for improvement. We are transparent about our progress and report on our sustainability initiatives annually.
  2. Innovation: We stay informed about the latest advancements in sustainable cleaning practices and technologies. We are committed to adopting innovative solutions that enhance our sustainability efforts.
  3. More sustainability through the following:
    1. Cycle to work scheme
    2. 7kw staff EV car charger available
    3. Our first electric vehicle is now in use
    4. Our second all electric vehicle carrying electrical equipment is currently being adapted and should be in use within months.
    5. Plans have been drawn up to convert remainder of fleet to EVs when each lease expires.

Conclusion:

Sustainability is a core value at Clean Tech. We are dedicated to making a positive impact on the environment, ensuring the health and safety of our employees and clients, and contributing to the well-being of our community. Together, we can create a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future.
